NOTE ON Magento 2.3.x: PHP 7.3 reaches end of support in December 2021 and Adobe Commerce 2.3.x reaches end of support in April 2022. (https://www.php.net/supported-versions.php) Thankfully, CentOS IUS repo finally supports PHP 7.4… Easier to work with than Remi.

It looks like they’ve pushed up the PHP 8.1 compatibility to Magento 2.4.4 – planned release March 2022. (before it wasn’t scheduled until Magento 2.4.5 in August 2022 – which wasn’t good because PHP 7.4 end of support is November 2022.)
